BENCHREST 50ft INDOOR

50ft = 16.66 yd

 

Match goal is to shoot 60 shots worth 10.9 points per shot for a max total of 654 pts. Three 20 minute rounds of 20 shots per round completes a match. Competition 50ft rifle targets will be used. All targets will be electronically scored and results expressed in decimals. Offered are three classes: Heavy Varmint, Light Varmint and 10 meter rifle. The following Phoenix AirGun Club rules are as follows:

 

General match rules:

 

  • Shooters and Spectators must have eye glasses or safety glasses on at all times.

 

  • Hearing protection recommended during a hot line only at the indoor air gun range.

 

  • Shooters may approach a bench only when the firing Line HOT.

 

  • All guns must be uncased at the shooting bench with the muzzle aimed downrange during a hot firing line.

 

  • Shooters may not be near a shooting bench with an uncased rifle during a cold firing line.

 

  • All uncased guns must have actions open with breach or muzzle indicators in place during a cold firing line or anytime unattended.

 

  • Shooters may prepare their rifles for a match when instructed by a match official only during a HOT firing line.

 

  • Any uncased gun for display must have a breach or muzzle indicator in place with action open and approved by a match official.

 

  • All technical issues with guns must be conducted at a bench with muzzle pointed down range only during a hot firing line. Permission of a match official required during the course of fire of a round.

 

  • During the course of fire in a match shooters cannot recharge their rifle tank, stand, or talk until the cease fire unless directed otherwise by a match official.

 

  • Shooters that leave their bench before a cease fire may not return to their bench.

 

  • Shooters maybe disqualified for shots fired before “commence fire” or “after a cease fire” unless directed or permitted by a match official.

 

  • Shooters must sight-in on target first before any shooting.

 

  • Proper conduct will be adhered to according to RSSC policies at all times.

Heavy Varmint:

  • Any Air rifle with a power not exceeding 20ft-lbs. Rifle must qualify prior to match. Qualification will be by Air gun division chronographs only.

  • Ammo limited to 177, 20 or 22 calibers. No restriction on pellet type. All pellets must be commercially available.

  • One or two piece rifle rest and bi-pods are allowed.  Rest with pointed or probe type feet are prohibited without a solid base under each leg. Rifles cannot be attached to rest (except bi-pods).

  • Any power scope maybe used. Recommended is a scope that can focus down to a minimum of 15yd or less. Open and electronic sights allowed.

  • No restriction on shooter chairs.

 

Light Varmint:

  • Any Air rifle with a power not exceeding 12ft-lbs. Rifle must qualify prior to match. Qualification will be by Air gun division chronographs only.

  • Ammo limited to 177, 20 or 22 calibers. No restriction on pellet type. All pellets must be commercially available.

  • One or two piece rifle rest and bi-pods are allowed. Rest with pointed or probe type feet are prohibited without a solid base under each leg. Rifles cannot be attached to rest (except bi-pods).

  • Any power scope maybe used. Recommended is a scope that can focus down to a minimum of 15yd or less. Open and electronic sights allowed.

  • No restriction on shooter chairs.

 

10 meter Rifle:

  • Any Air rifle with a power not exceeding 7ft-lbs. Rifle must qualify prior to match. Qualification will be by Air gun division chronographs only.

  • Ammo limited to 177, 20 or 22 calibers. No restriction on pellet type. All pellets must be commercially available.

  • One or two piece rifle rest and bi-pods are allowed. Rest with pointed or probe type feet are prohibited without a solid base under each leg. Rifles cannot be attached to rest (except bi-pods).

  • Any power scope maybe used. Recommended is a scope that can focus down to a minimum of 15yd or less. Open and electronic sights allowed.
