Process:
Plan your arrival at the range during the Main Range Office hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Range access gates are closed after 5:00pm. Contact the Match Director if your unintended arrival is anticipated after 5:00 pm.
Check in at the Main Range Office, and advise them that you are attending the Sonoran Desert Grand Prix.
They will require you to fill out some paperwork and collect a deposit (around $20) for a loaner range-access card. This grants you in-out privileges during your stay.
You will receive a placard to place in your windshield identifying that you’ve received permission to stay at the range overnight. This must be easily seen from the parking lot when range security passes by. If not readily apparent, range staff will inquire.
Places to stay and avoid:
-
Do not park your overnight vehicle in any area that has a posted NO PARKING sign.
-
Do not park in front of the water tower.
-
Do not park in front of any cones blocking any roads.
-
Buildings require full access by fire services; do not block any areas around buildings with limited access.
-
Camping location on campus may change per range officer instructions upon check-in.
See the map below for overnight parking.
This is dry-camping only. There is NO potable water available. There is NO sewer available. There are no electrical services available. Do not plug into any receptacle to power your vehicle, as overdraw may cause electrical damage to the building.
You must be completly self sufficient.
NO outdoor fires, charcoal, or solid fuel combustible BBQs are permitted.
The range may provide instructions that supersede this guide. Please kindly follow them.
Bathrooms:
The OETC (“Airgun Building”) has restrooms available when the building is unlocked and in use during event times.
